Who I am

This site is run by Scott Braddon, a sole proprietor operating as Scott Braddon Consulting, in Alberta, Canada. I'm responsible for your information and you can reach me at hello@scottbraddon.com.

What I collect, and why

• Contact form: your name, email, phone (optional), business (optional) and message, so I can reply to you.
• Booking a call: the details you give Cal.com when you book, so we can meet.
• Email and calls: what you send me and what we discuss, so I can help you. If I'd like to record or transcribe a call, I'll ask you first.
• Visiting the site: basic technical logs kept by my hosting provider, and, only if you accept cookies, visit statistics from Google Analytics.

I only use your information for these purposes. I don't sell it, and I don't add you to a mailing list. Please don't send health or other sensitive details through the form.

Services that handle it for me

• Netlify hosts this site and receives form messages, checking them for spam with Akismet and emailing them to me through Amazon Web Services.
• Google runs my email, calendar and video calls, and Google Analytics.
• Cal.com runs the booking page.
• Cloudflare forwards email sent to hello@scottbraddon.com.
• Anthropic (Claude) is the AI assistant that helps me manage my inbox and calendar.

These services are mostly in the United States, so your information may be stored and processed outside Canada, where courts and authorities there may be able to access it.

Cookies and analytics

The site only uses analytics cookies if you choose Accept in the cookie notice. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice any time by clearing this site's cookies.

How long I keep it

If you don't become a client, I delete your enquiry within 24 months of our last contact. Client records are kept as long as the law requires (for example, tax records).

Keeping it safe

I use reasonable safeguards: accounts protected by strong sign-in, access limited to me, and reputable providers.

Your choices

You can ask to see or correct your information, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@scottbraddon.com. I'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update it here and change the date at the top.
